Pre-pay for your funeral and fix the cost at today's prices
Around 360 funerals take place every hour in the UK. Only about 40 of those 360 funerals would be paid using a pre-paid funeral plan.
Whilst planning your funeral is hard, it could prevent your loved ones from having to do so at an already difficult time. Furthermore, if your wishes are unknown this could cause stress for your loved ones as they decide on the arrangements. It could lead to arguments and disputes as they second guess your wishes. By planning ahead, you can reduce this stress and guarantee that your wishes are respectfully carried out. By creating a funeral plan, you will not only spare your bereaved family some emotional trauma, but you could save them financial trauma as well.
Funerals can be costly and whilst 29% of people rely on their estate to cover the costs, funerals often take place soon after you have passed away, before your estate has been divided up. Many people do not have the money upfront to pay for their relative's funeral and as a result, funerals have become one of the biggest uses of a credit card. Funeral costs are constantly rising. In the last ten years alone, costs rose by a huge 88%. In 1991, the average cost of a funeral was around £820. However, by 2014 funeral costs were already up to £3609. If this increase continues, it is predicted that by 2022, the average cost of a funeral could be £6220 and furthermore, by 2031, the average funeral costs could be up to £11,196. At Casey & Associates, we like to provide you with the best funeral plan for your money. As a result, we work alongside a reputable company who are founding members of both the National Association of Pre-paid Funeral Plans (NAPFP) & the Funeral Planning Authority (FPA). We can help you avoid ever-increasing funeral costs by providing you with a funeral plan today, at a fixed price. The funeral plans we use not only guarantee to cover the funeral director's costs at the time of death, but they also cover the third party costs such as doctor's fees and cremation costs in the vast majority of cases. Furthermore, you will have access to over 4,000 funeral directors including both independent directors and some large company "chains". By using a reputable funeral planning company, you can also be sure that your money is protected. Should the funeral directors you choose to use close down, the money is held in trust and therefore you can still switch to a different firm. Should you choose not to use a funeral plan and instead go direct to your local funeral directors, there are no guarantees should they close down, that your money is safe. If you move to another part of the UK your funeral plan will usually move with you.
